Bought in January 2020. Started using end of April 2022 and broke early July 2022. Trying to get it serviced and authorized servicers MIGHT have an appointment after almost 1 week. They can not even commit to appointment when I ask them just tell me when you can come and fix it. First time that I got GE appliance, probably last!

We really enjoy our new GE refrigerator. We like the slate color, and plan to purchase a range, microwave and dishwasher to match. The French doors and bottom freezer are, for us, clearly preferable to a side-by-side. Only negative is that it seems slightly noisier than it was at installation. But if that's true it isn't major enough to lower our rating from 5 stars. We recommend it!

Good but a bit loud

We have replaced our Samsung fridge after 6 years of massive frustration and horrible performance. This GE works fantastic. It sits at a very even 36 degrees in the fridge and -1 degree in the freezer. The samsung barley made it to 40 degrees, causing food to spoil quickly. This GE fridge might be a bit louder, but this actually keeps things cold and so far good Ice output.

Refrigerator storage compartments hold a lot more then I would have imagined. The placement of the ice maker in the door allows a lot more space in the refrigerator compartment. The freezer space is average but sufficient for this size refrigerator.

The refrigerator is loud when it is making ice. The cycle takes awhile and the motor is loud to listen to until the cycle is done. Also, the panel on the ice maker is dark so you can't read the words of the feature buttons. There are lights on the panel, but they don't illuminate the words so they aren't helpful.

It is a good product; all functions are nice. Some improvement needed in door storage bins, it is not easy to get a gallon of milk placed into the bins with the shelfs spaced so that all the shelfs are usable. Place the door shelf bins so that you are able to place the jug of milk in it, then you are not able to use the other shelf for salad dressings, ketchup, basically the other items that are kept in the door. The main shelves spacing also needs improvement as the gallon of milk requires you to use the 'quick space shelf'. Also, there is a drip of water from the water dispenser, even if you wait a bit after filling your container as suggested.

GE Fridge Good and Not So Good

Overall okay. It looks very nice. Great space in fridge area, freezer is smaller than expected and does not hold as much as expected. Some of the holders on the doors are so small in depth that very few of my items fit in them. The fridge is VERY noisy. Sometimes it sounds as if it is going to take off or explode. It runs all the time even when the freezer and fridge are completely full. I thought, at first, it was just because it was only a day or 2 old and thought it would let up, but no - it runs and runs. I will wait to pass judgement on this until my first electric bill comes. The ice dispenser throws ice on the floor if I do not hold the container all the way up to the very top where the ice comes out of the dispenser. The crushed ice is even worse and I no longer even attempt to use this feature. The water dispenser is fine. I have GE appliances - stove and microwave. This is the first time I have been disappointed in the quality of a GE product. With the noise and running, I am certainly glad we bought the extended warranty!

Creating Memories for the Holidays

We got our new GE products just in time for the holidays. We have room for lots of holiday foods on the various shelving units. We have six adults at home now. With purchases from stores like Costco and Sam's Club, we can adjust the shelves to fit bigger items. Everything has stayed fresh so far. This is the first time that we've owned a refrigerator with a water feature/ice maker. It's so convenient for everyone. Our only complaint is that we lose space on the left door. The freezer compartment is well organized with various compartments for larger items.

Didn't work properly out of the box

We had a problem the day after we hooked up the water. As soon as we tried to get ice, it would stop working. We couldn't get ice or water. Tried resetting it multiple times and still kept happening. Had to have the service team from the local vendor come to fix it just days after delivery. We were told he didn't know what he did, but some how it was working when he was done. We were told it was probable that it would come up again and they would come back again to fix it.

Like the fridge. One of the MANY reasons I replaced my Samsung fridge with the GE was because it wouldn't hold accurate temps and was needing yet another repair. This fridge set to 37 degrees. Actual as measured with 3 thermometers is 40. Freezer set to 0,actual -10. Waiting for call back from repair dept

It works,but...

It is an attractive fridge, but I have three big complaints that keep me from rating this higher. First, it is loud. It can be heard all over the house. Second, all the drawers, including the freezer, are plastic on plastic. Therefore they don't slide very well. Often the drawers have to be jiggled up and down to get them to close. Putting the drawers on ball bearing would have made them work so much smoother. That being said, it works like it should. The icemaker in the door works well without jamming up.The fridge cools without freezing, that's a happy thing, and the freezer works as it should. One other little hiccup, the fridge was actually a little taller than advertised so it didn't fit in it's designated spot.

Like it but loud

Love the absence of fingerprints. Finish looks great even beside my stainless steel appliances. Love the ice maker on the door. Lots of room. Thoughtful configuration. But the loud hum is very annoying. It's by far the loudest appliance I've ever owned. Almost makes me wonder if there's something wrong with the motor.

This fridge replaced a side-by-side that was physically larger and had greater capacity according to the specs, but the layout of this fridge seems so much more roomy. I love the icemaker being built into the door and not taking up a ton of space in the freezer. And it's a better fit for the available space

Makes sense to have the freezer at the bottom; allowing you to easily see food in refrigerator with double doors allowing easy use with platters. Great space of interior sides. Great slate color. Alarm option is helpful in the event I don't close completely.

Door bins keep breaking
